Session Lengths
Therapy services can vary in length and frequency depending on your needs and schedule. Sessions can be every week or every other week and can be scheduled for the following amounts of time:
50 minute sessions (most common)
75 minute sessions
100 minute sessions (ideal for couples and families)
Availability
Some evening and weekend hours are available for those who work during the weekdays and children and teens in school (currently full).
Weekday appointments either in person or virtual sessions are also available.
Confidentiality
Legally, everything discussed in therapy is kept private, unless it pertains to threat of harm to self or others, specifically children, elders, or dependent adults. There may also be cases where there is a court order to divulge information exchanged in therapy. Additionally, communication over email or text message cannot be guaranteed to be confidential. For sensitive matters that require confidentiality, please discuss in session. Details about confidentiality are provided in the intake paperwork for each client and each client (and/or the legal guardian) must provide informed consent to begin therapy. Please let me know if you have any questions about confidentiality when we meet.
24-hour cancellation policy
When we schedule an appointment, I set aside that time specifically for you. If a conflict arises in your schedule, I ask for 24 hours notice to cancel or change appointments in order to avoid being charged the full fee for the session.
Payment
The fee for each 50 minute session is $180 payable in cash, check, credit card, debit card, or health savings account card. Checks can be made out to "Julianne Fox, LMFT." Longer sessions are charged as $270 for 75 minutes and $360 for 100 minute sessions. A limited number of sliding scale appointments are available on a case-by-case basis.
I am not currently contracted with any insurance companies. However, you can ask your insurance provider if they will reimburse you for out-of-network behavioral health care through a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). I can provide you with superbills, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential partial or full reimbursement. If you are seeking reimbursement from insurance, the company will most likely request a diagnosis, which will be filed on the client's medical record through the insurance company. If you have any questions about this, please contact me.
Disclaimer for Good Faith Estimate
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services verbally and in writing.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises. Please email or call me directly with any billing questions or to obtain a Good Faith Estimate for therapy services.
